Our Impact

Magnum Opus has prevented hundreds of thousands of kilograms of waste from going to landfill through effective repairs to items that were destined for replacement.

Our work has also represented incredible Value for Money (VFM) through offering a cheaper alternative to replacement, which is a core value for many of our partners.

We are heavily involved in the communities in which we work, looking to take an active role in local projects and employing apprentices from the areas in which we are involved.

Magnum Opus have carried out important cost-effective repairs to both kitchens and bathrooms where replacements would be difficult & costly. Their pre & post photos are valuable for project completion, with the bonus of showing how the repair matches the existing item.

I have worked with Magnum Opus and Ryan since 2014. The 1st job they did for us was a front door which the police had used forced entry to gain access and had severely damaged the composite door, they carried out a repair & resurface leaving it looking new.

They continue to be part of Great Places and are still doing fantastic repairs on our doors, worktops kitchen doors and baths.

We've had so many people here delivering furniture recently and they never seem to care so much ie putting their tools on our table & scratching it. The guy that came was professional and friendly. Asked if he needed to take his shoes off carried his tool box in and out even though it was big, so not to mark anything. Just a very nice and polite person who cared on the work he did and respected being round someone's home.

FAQs

Repairing surfaces are virtually cheaper 99% of time over replacing. The savings come from not buying new surfaces, no added labour costs and then the cost of disposing the damaged surface.

Repairing a surface has multiple benefits over replacing, these are main ones to consider:

  • Saving on costs
  • Saving on waste
  • Saving time
  • Customer convenience

A repair usually takes between 1 – 3 hours all depending on the severity, size and surface. A worktop chip could be completed within an hour and a composite door repair & resurface would usually take 3 – 4 hours to complete.

Our repairs are almost always invisible, there are various factors to whether a repair is fully invisible when completed. Depending on the size, location and severity some repairs may still be slightly visible to the eye, but we’re continuously innovating and offering new services to assist in us providing quality invisible repairs.

We offer 12 month guarantee on repairs

The simple answer is YES! We can repair & resurface a composite door if it has cosmetic damage or faded.

Yes, a floor can be repaired if it has cosmetic damage. Common floors that can be repaired are laminates, tiles, hardwood.

We also have a specialist floor restoration division too who fully restore floors to a new standard. Whether it is hardwood, terrazzo, or tiled we can help you out.

Our focus is to make everything you do easier. This is why we invested in the development of our in-house software. Our technicians will fill out a completed worksheet with before and after images of all repairs. Once the technicians confirm completion you will receive a notification with the completed worksheet attached, allowing you to review the work without even visiting the job.

Although we’re based in Trafford Park, Manchester our technicians cover nationwide.

We hold SSIP accreditations with Constructionline, SMAS, CHAS. We also have health & safety advisors on hand when required.

All our technicians are all fully trained through our own training programme and work towards an NVQ in Damage & Resurfacing. We also have technicians who are SMSTS & SSSTS qualified.

When translated from Latin, a Magnum Opus is the most important or best work that an artist has produced. It can be literally translated as ‘Great Work’.

We chose a phoenix as our logo as the symbol of rebirth.
